MOBILE, Ala. - - The University of Louisville men's golf team fired a 36-hole score of 585 and is in first place after day one of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, Monday at Heron Lakes Country Club.
The Cardinals dominated the first two rounds of play , as Louisville has three players in the top four of the tournament, while Mississippi State golfer Matt Fast is the individual leader at 142.
The Fathauer brothers, Derek and Daryl stand two and three, respectively after play on Monday. Derek 72-72=144 and is in second place, while Daryl is right behind in third place after shooting 69-76=145. Derek is just two shots out of the lead, while Daryl is three.
Adam Rainaud is in fourth after his stellar 74-72=146. Adam Hadwin and Lewis Kirton are locked at 22nd place after their two-round score of 152.
The final round of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at Heron Lakes Country Club will conclude with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, Tuesday. The tournament is free and open to the public and final results can be accessed at usajaguars.com.
