Men's Golf Finishes 12th

West Lafayette, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's golf team finished 12th at PING/Golfweek Preview on Purdue's Kampen Course, site of the 2008 NCAA Championships. Playing in near-perfect conditions under a sunny sky, the Cardinals shot in the third round, but shot 302-302 in the first two rounds on Saturday.
Senior Derek Fathauer paced the Cardinals with an 11th place finish. Fathauer shot 74-72-73=219 to post U of L's highest finisher.
Louisville senior Daryl Fathauer fired a final round 70, but shot 79-77 on the first day and tied for 41st overall. Senior Adam Rainaud also tied for 41st place with 71-79-76=226.
Sophomore Lewis Kirton carded a 79-77-75=231 to tie for 59th place, while Adam Hadwin tied for 67th place after shooting 78-76-80=234.
