
Men's Golf Slips to Second

Sugar Grove, Ill. - After leading by nine strokes after the first round, the University of Louisville men's golf team struggled shooting 10-over par to fall into second place in the second round of the NCAA Men's Golf Central Regional, where 27 teams are vying for a top 10 finish that brings with a trip to the NCAA finals.
No. 23- ranked Cardinals opened play Friday with a nine-stroke lead, but now trails Tulsa by seven strokes. The Golden Hurricane shot8-under par and are +9 after the first two rounds at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
Louisville shot 6-over par on Thursday, but never seemed to get on track and now are two shots ahead of third-place Lamar and four ahead of fourth-place Alabama.
Daryl Fathauer, who was in second place after the first day, remained there after shooting a 2-under par 70 and is three-under par for the tournament. His brother, Derek, who was leading, shot a 4-over par 76 and is tied for eighth place.
Adam Hadwin shot an even par 73 and is also tied for eighth-place. Adam Rainaud shot an 8-over par 80 after shooting 79 on Thursday.
Third round play begins on Saturday morning. The final round is Saturday.
