Louisville, Ky - Nick Mullhaupt from Bradenton, Fla., has signed a National-Letter-of-Intent to play golf at the University of Louisville, head coach Mark Crabtree announced on Friday.
Mullhaupt is one of the top-rated players in the state of Florida. He finished ninth at Golfweek Tournament as a junior. He tied for 14th at the Dixie Amateur in 2007 with scores of 69-72-71-74 and was 10th at the St. Augustine Amateur in 2006.
At the AJGA, Mullhaupt was seventh at National Resource Bluegrass Junior Tournament and seventh at Las Vegas Founder's Junior Tourney, including final round of 64. He alsop posted four top 10's in FCWT competition.
"Nick is one of the finest young players in the state of Florida," said Crabtree. "He has been attending the David Ledbetter Golf Academy down in Bradenton where has continued to develop the past couple of years. Nick has a lot of upside. He has demonstrated an ability to shoot very low numbers when playing well and is an intense competitor. He seems to thrive on playing against better players. This is demonstrated by his play in national amateur events."
