Louisville, Ky - University of Louisville senior golf Daryl Fathauer has been recognized by Golfweek Magazine as the National Player of the Week for his performance at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational last week in San Francisco, Calif.
Fathauer, who won his third tournament, entered the final round with a three-shot lead after shooting rounds of 61 and 67 on Monday at the par-71 Meadow Club. He finished with a 72 and a 13-under-par school-record 200 total -- two shots better than Fresno State's Todd Angel. Fathauer broke his own school record of 202, which he fired at the BIG EAST Championships in 2005-06.
