
Petrino, Douglass Review Cards' Season-Opening Win Over Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville football head coach Bobby Petrino and junior wide receiver Harry Douglass met with members of the media on Tuesday to review the Cards' season-opening win over Kentucky and to preview UofL's upcoming non-conference road game against Temple. The Cards and Owls will meet on Saturday at noon ET at Lincoln Financial Field and the game will be televised locally on WHAS-TV.
The Cards opened the 2006 season on Sunday night with a dominating 59-28 home win over Kentucky, while Temple opened its season last Thursday with a 9-3 overtime loss at Buffalo. Following the Temple game, UofL will return home to host Miami (Fla.) on Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, and the game will be televised by ABC Sports.
Cards Ranked 12th, 13th in the Nation: UofL enters this week's game against Temple ranked 12rh in the USA Today Coaches Poll and 13th in Associated Press Poll.

The series began in 1980 with a 17-12 Temple win and the Owls won successive meetings in 1981 and 1982... The Cards won the last meeting in 2003 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
