LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Karsten Clements of Elizabethtown, Ky., has signed a national-letter-of-intent with the University of Louisville men's golf program.
Clements is one of the top players in the state of the Kentucky. He was named the 2005 Kentucky Junior Player of the Year and was the 2005 Kentucky Junior Amateur Champion.
He was a three-year participant in the Kentucky State High School Tournament and posted a 10th-place finish at the 2005 AJGA Natural Resources Tournament as a junior. He posted a runner-up finish at the Pepsi Junior Tournament of Champions.
"I am pleased to have Karsten joining our program," said head golf coach Mark Crabtree. "He's a quality young man who represents everything I'm looking for in a student-athlete. As a student, Karsten owns a 3.7 GPA and was also the Kentucky Player of the Year. He has a great deal of potential and I think he will be a strong contributor to our program."
