
Fathauer Earns Medalist at Wolf Run Intercollegiate

Zionsville, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's golf team lost to Kentucky in a playoff today, Oct. 8, as the Cardinals finished second at Indiana's Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind. The Cats and Cardinals finished with identical scores of 886 to force the playoff which the Wildcats won on the second hole.
Junior Derek Fathauer took home medalist honors by shooting 1-under par 66-73-75=214. Freshman Lewis Kirton was just as impressive as he shot 74-73-70=217 to finish in a tie for third place.
Junior Daryl Fathauer tied for 20th place overall after he shot 75-73-81=229 and sophomore Adam Hadwin placed in a tie for 24th place with 75-75-80=230. Junior Andrew Freeman rounded out the top five for the Cardinals with a tie for 39th place at 75-82-77=234.
