LOUISVILLE - The University of Louisville completed its fourth workout of the summer with a 2:45 practice Tuesday at the football complex.
The Cardinals conducted a 25-period practice, which was capped off by four 60-yard sprints. The Cardinals worked out in shoulder pads and helmets in 90-degree heat again for the fourth straight day, but continued to impress head coach Bobby Petrino with their effort.
"It's been very hot," said Petrino. "The players have remained focused and worked very hard. I'm impressed with their effort and intensity. There are a lot of things we have to do to get better, but as long as the effort is there, I'm happy."
Sophomore quarterback Brian Brohm was sharp again in passing drills, while the receiving corp of Joshua Tinch, Montrell Jones and Broderick continued to make all the tough catches.
Louisville changed its Wednesday morning practice to 9:30 a.m. and will be in full pads for the first time. The Cardinals are will conduct its first double session on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
