Louisville had 105 players take part in the workout. Harry Douglas and Brian Roche were slowed by injuries and should be at full strength in the next week.
"I was pleased with the overall effort," said Petrino. "The players were in good shape and thought they worked hard, but it's early. It was great to see all the fans that came out and watched practice. I know our players appreciated the support. We have a lot of work to do. but I'm very encouraged with the players' attitude."
