University of Louisville freshman Derek Fathauer was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week for tournament play through April 5.
Fathauer fired a final round score of 71 to earn medallist honors at the Forest Oaks Intercollegiate at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Fathauer carded a 71-72-71=214 for the top finish of his career and outscore the runner-up by two strokes. He led the Cardinals to their third team title of the 2004-05 season. It was Fathauer's fourth Top 10 finish of the season.
The Cardinals play at the Marshall Invitational on April 8-9.
