
Men's Golf Stands in 11th at UALR

Little Rock, Ark. - Little Rock, Ark- The University of Louisville men's golf team is in 11th place after the first two rounds of the of the UALR/First Tee Collegiate at the Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Ark.
The Cardinals fired 299-307=606 to stand 23 shots behind tournament leader Sam Houston State, who shot 583 as a team.
Freshman Daryl Fathauer was the highest U of L golfer on the day, placing 21st overall after shooting 72-77=149. Senior Charlie Woo is in a tie for 33rd place after a 75-76=151 afternoon. Junior Brent Holmes, who is playing his first match of the spring, is in a tie for 39th with 73-79=152.
Rookies Adam Rainaud and Derek Fathauer are in a tie for 66th and 69th, respectively. Rainaud carded 82-75=157, while Fathauer fired a pair of 79's to shoot 158.
Senior Brett Jones played as an individual and is in fourth place overall, after shooting a 3-under par 141.
The tournament concludes with a single round beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
