Field hockey to host Michigan State in Spring Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville field hockey team will open spring play against Michigan State on Friday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Trager Stadium. The teams will play three full field 25-minute periods.

The Spartans finished the 2004 season with an 18-4 record after advancing the NCAA semifinals. Michigan State was ranked No. 8 in the final STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.

U of L finished the 2004 season with a 12-10 overall record and posted a program-best 8-2 MAC record while tying Kent State for the regular season championship. After winning their second consecutive MAC Tournament, the Cards fell to Pacific 1-0 in overtime in an NCAA play-in game.
