Fathauer Finishes Fifth at Club Glove Intercollegiate

Somis, California - Playing a challenging course in difficult weather, University of Louisville freshman Derek Fathauer shot a final-round 1-over par 73 to finish in a tie for fifth place at The Club Glove Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday afternoon at the par-72, 6,985-yard Saticoy Country Club in Somis, California.
Fathauer concluded the tournament with an 11-over par total of 227 to finish seven shots behind San Diego State teammates David Palm and Josh Warthen, who helped the Aztecs win the tourney.
The Cardinals finished with a 54-hole score of 919 to finish fourth overall.
The course, which played tough all three rounds, yielded just two-under par scores during the tournament.
Sophomore Daryl Fathauer (74-74-84=232) shot a final round score of 84 to fall into a tie for 16th place. Freshman Adam Hadwin tied for 24th with 73-84-77=234, while senior Will Hanna tied for 34th with 79-77-81=237. Sophomore Adam Rainaud placed in a tie for 49th after rounds of 87-76-81=244.
The Cardinals return to action on Oct. 10-11 at the Xavier Invitational.
