SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Louisville men's golf team is tied for ninth placeat 5-under par 283 Monday after the first round of the Barona Collegiate Cup in Lakeside, Calif. The second round was postponed due to poor visibility and weather conditions at the par-72, 7,088 yard Barona Creek Golf Course.

Play had already been started in the second round, before being suspended Monday afternoon. The second round will resume Tuesday at 7 a.m. PDT, while the final round will follow immediately after. The tournament field is still scheduled to play 54 holes.

Will Hanna and Brent Holmes are tied for 25th place for the Cardinals after shooting first round 70's. Sophomore Derek Fathauer shot 71 to place in a tie for 34th, while Derek Fathauer is tied for 54th with his 72. Freshman Adam Hadwin rounds out the top five with his 80th-place standing after carding 74.
