USA Field Hockey's National Coaching Staff is offering an open Forum at the Finals to coaches during the NCAA championship, November 18-19 on the University of Louisville campus. Technical Director Terry Walsh, Women's National Team Coach Lee Bodimeade and Women's National Team Goalkeeping Coach Justine Sowry will direct this year's information-packed Forum at the Finals.
The Forum will be in the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in the team meeting room (1st floor). Venue information and directions are available by Clicking Here.
Forum invitations are extended to all coaches desiring a perspective of coaching at the national level. The presentations will be filled with insightful information on coaching basic skills and techniques and are sure to enlighten coaches at all levels.
Print, complete and return the form above with the appropriate fee by November 11th or contact us prior to attending and register at the door. Please note the registration form should be faxed or send electronically to Laura Darling at the address on the form.
Forum Format: Participants should plan to arrive by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov.18. There will be a morning session from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and an afternoon session from 1:45 - 4:15 p.m. As part of the Forum, all participants will be requested to watch the NCAA semifinal games at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. A portion of Saturday's session will focus on the NCAA semifinal games. Saturday's session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by 1:15 p.m.
Course Fee: The course fee is $150.00. Participants must be members of USA Field Hockey to attend. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, room, meals and NCAA championship semifinals/finals admission tickets.
Courtyard by Marriott: A room block as been reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott, 9608 Blairwood Road, Louisville, KY 40222. The room rate is $81.00 and includes a full breakfast. The hotel is 20 minutes (13 miles) from the Papa John Cardinal Stadium and NCAA competition site. The phone number is 502-429.0006. Registration: Please complete the enclosed registration form. Deadline for pre-registration is Friday, November 11, 2005. Coaches may register at the door, but we request you email or fax in the registration form by Wednesday, November 16, 2005. If registration meets the room capacity, registration will conclude at that time. Confirmations will be sent by e-mail.
