
Rhodes and Moody Named C-USA Players of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - Senior safety Kerry Rhodes and sophomore punter Brent Moody were named the Conference USA Players of the Week on Tuesday. Rhodes, who was tabbed the defensive player of the week, recorded a pair of interceptions, returning one 56 yards for a touchdown. He also picked off a pass right before the end of the first half. The Bessemer, Ala., product recorded seven tackles as the Cardinal defense recorded their first shutout since 2000. Moddy was named the special teams player, averaging a career-best 51.0 yards per kick, including a 55-yarder, which tied his career-best. The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, September 11, at Army.
