Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team conducted its final dress rehearsal for next Sunday's opener against intrastate rival Kentucky at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The Cardinals went through gameday preparations, including a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. The first team units competed against the scout teams in actual game-like conditions. "We wanted to give the players a look at what its going to be like next Sunday when we kick it off for real," said head coach Bobby Petrino. "We've had some good practices and I know the guys are ready to stop hitting each other and start hitting guys in different colored jerseys." The Cardinals are off Sunday and Monday before resuming preparations for Kentucky on Tuesday.
