Golf Recruit Qualifies for Links Championship

Jensen Beach, Fla - Daryl Fathauer, who will join the University of Louisville men's golf program in the fall, has qualified for the USGA National Public Links Championship in Maplegrove, Minn., on July 12-17.
The newcomer from Jensen Beach, Fla., finished second overall, qualifying for one of the two open spots. Fathauer shot an impressive 67-68=135 to reach the championship.
Fathauer competed at Martin County High School and was a 2003 United State Amateur qualifier and was second at the Florida Azalea Amateur. He was three-year letterwinner, guiding the team to three straight consecutive top three finishes at Florida state high school championships. He was the 2003 Regional Champion with 68(-4) and 72.35 scoring average his senior year.
