
Field Hockey's Lehman Earns Academic Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - University of Louisville senior field hockey player Casey Lehman was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV At-Large Team.
Lehman, a defender from Palmyra, Pa., carried a 3.94 grade point average while majoring in psychology. The four-year starter was a co-captain of the 2003 Mid-American Conference tournament championship team. She earned MAC second team honors as a senior and was a two-time all-tournament selection.
Off the field, Lehman is a four-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association national academic squad member, a three-time MAC academic squad honoree and a seven-time Athletic Director's Honor Roll member. She was the recipient of the University of Louisville's Ed Kallay Award, which goes to the school's top senior female athlete.
The 2004 CoSIDA University Division Women's At-Large Academic All-District IV team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.
To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Team is a part of the CoSIDA Academic All-America program. First team selections will appear on the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's At-Large team to be announced June 15.
