Holmes Moves to Sectionals at the U.S. Open

ST. Louis, Mo. - - Sophomore Brent Holmes of the University of Louisville men's golf team advanced to the sectionals of the United States Open on Thursday.

Holmes shot 71 in the qualifying round and will advance to the sectionals at the Old Warson Golf Course on June 8. Holmes had a solid round, despite sitting through a two-hour rain delay.

"I played well," said Holmes. "I was happy with the way the round went despite the rain delay. I had four birdies and four bogeys."
