EAST LANSING, Mich. - - Junior Brett Jones of the University of Louisville men's golf team is tied for 20th place after day one of the Fossum Invite at Michigan State University.

The Cardinals are in 12th place, shooting 306-310 after day one of the event.

Jones started off well as he shot a 73 in the first round, but finished with 77 to end the day with 150. Senior Matt Bascom is tied for 34th place after shooting 78-74-152. Junior Charlie Woo is in a tie for 56th place after 77-79=156, while sophomore Will Hanna is tied for 61st with 78-80=158. Sophomore Brent Holmes is in a tie for 71st, shooting a pair of 82s for 164.

The final round will be played on Sunday morning.
