Men's Golf Team Finishes 11th at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - - The University of Louisville men's golf team placed 11th at the 2004 Boilermaker Invitational on the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on Sunday.
The Cardinals shot a final round score of 307 to finish with 888. The University of Purdue fired a final-round 293 and edged Colorado by two strokes for the win. Purdue totaled 855 over the three rounds. The Buffaloes made things tight by shooting a 285 on Sunday.
Junior Charlie Woo was the top finisher for the Cardinals with a 21st place standing. After starting the day in 14th place, Woo fired a third-round score of 76 to finish with 219. Sophomore Will Hanna was next in line as he placed in a tie for 31st. Hanna fied 77-68-77=222.
Senior Matt Bascom was tied for 52nd with 72-74-81=227, while junior Brett Jones and sophomore Brent Holmes were tied for 66th. Jones shot 72-77-81=230 and Holmes carded 82-75-73=230.
The Cardinals return to action on April 19-21 at the Conference USA Championships in Tampa, Fla.
