Men's Golf Tied for 6th at Coastal Carolina

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- - The University of Louisville men's golf team is tied for sixth place at the General Jim Hackler Invitational, presented by IMIC Hotels.com and hosted by Coastal Carolina University. Play was suspended during the second round due to darkness. The tournament, held at the TPC of Myrtle Beach, will resume at 9 a.m., Tue., Mar. 9, with the completion of the second round and the entire third round.

Louisville shot a 302 in the opening round and stands in a four-way tie for sixth place, while Pepperdine leads at 292.

Junior Charlie Woo is off to an impressive start with a 71 after the first round and is tied for fourth. He shot a 33 on the front and a 38 on the back, and is one shot off the lead.

Sophomore Brent Holmes is in a tie for 22nd place after firing 75, while junior Brett Jones is tied at 46th with 77. Sophomore Will Hanna is tied in 687th place with 79, while freshman Michael Gimmaresi is tied for 89th with an 83.
