CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - - The University of Louisville men's golf team is in ninth place after the first day of play at Marshall University's El Diablo Intercollegiate at the El Diablo Golf and Country Club in Citrus Springs, Fla. The Cardinals posted a team total of 616, shooting 307-309.
Junior Charlie Woo led the way for Louisville with a score of 152 (78-74), good for a tie for 22nd place. Junior Brett Jones and senior Matt Bascom were tied for 30th place by firing 153.
Sophomore Brent Holmes shot 76-82=158, which was good for a tie for 57th place, and sophomore Will Hanna is tied for 79th with a 79-84=163.
Play continues Sunday in Citrus Springs with a final round of 18 holes that begins at 7:30 a.m.
