TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -
TALLAHASSEE, FLA. -- Junior Charlie Woo of the University of Louisville men's golf team finished in a tie for 13th place at the Seminole Intercollegiate men's golf tournament at Golden Eagle Country Club. The Cardinals finished in ninth out of 12 teams shooting 300-310-307=917 in the two-day event.
Georgia State won the event, shooting 294-297-293=884, while Central Florida was next at 300-294-295=889.
Woo, in a tie for ninth place after the first 36 holes, shot a 77 in the third round to fall into a tie for 13th place. He shot 73-74-77=224.
Sophomore Brent Holmes, who entered the day in a tie for 22nd, shot 73 on the third day to move into a tie for 15th with a 74-78-73=225. Junior Brett Jones shot an uncharacteristic 81 on Tuesday to tie for 38th overall. He fired 75-78-81=234.
Freshman Michael Giammaresi placed in a tie for 43rd with 78-80-77=235, while classmate Mark Conlon ended the tournament in a tie for 50th place, carding 80-81-80=241.
The Cards will compete at the 2004 General Jim Hackler Intercollegiate on March 8-9.
