
Men's Golf In Fifth After Two Rounds

Memphis, Tenn. - The University of Louisville men's golf team is fifth entering final round play tomorrow morning at the Memphis Intercollegiate held at the Colonial Country Club South Course. Central Florida leads the field with a 3-over 579 (287-292).
After shooting 300 in the first round, the Cardinals responded with 290 to move into fifth. The Cardinals will enter the final round tomorrow down by 11 strokes.
Individually for the Cardinals are led by the Fathauer twins. Freshman Daryl Fathauer is in sixth place after 77-67=144 and Derek is tied for tenth after 71-74=145.
The individual leader of the tournament is Neal Grusczynski of Xavier with a 3-under 141 (72-69). There is a four-way tie for second at 1-under that includes two UCF golfers in Andreas Hoegberg (70-73) and Stefan Wistorf (73-70).
For the Cardinals, senior Brett Jones is tied for 48th after 79-73=152 and senior Charlie Woo is tied for 51st. Freshman Adam Rainaud is tied for 60th.
The Memphis Intercollegiate wraps up tomorrow morning at Colonial Country Club with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. The leaders are expected to wrap up their rounds between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. An awards ceremony will be held following the final round to honor the team and individual medalists and runners-up.
