After 30 minutes of scoreless play, Louisville senior forward Olivia Netzler put the Cards on the scoreboard when she connected on a cross from freshman forward Jessica Javelet at the 30:39 mark. The Cardinals took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Boston's Adrienne Scibilia tied the score on a feed from Lindsey Domers midway through the second half. The defenses held throughout the rest of the period and the game remained knotted at 1-1.
