Field Hockey Spring Schedule Set

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville field hockey team has released its 2003 spring schedule. The Cardinals will open on March 29 at the Hoosier Classic hosted by Indiana University. An alumni game has been slated for April 5 at 4 p.m. at Trager Stadium. The following weekend, the Cardinals will host a 7 v 7 tournament to include: defending national champion Wake Forest, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio, Ball State, Northwestern, Southwest Missouri State and Indiana.

The University of Louisville field hockey team finished the 2002 season with a 13-8 record (7-3 Mid-American Conference) and captured the school's first regular season MAC championship. The Cardinals were ranked as high as No. 4 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll and closed out the season at No. 11.
