Louisville, Ky. - Adam Rainaud has signed a national-letter-of-intent to compete for the University of Louisville men's golf team, head coach Mark Crabtree announced on Tuesday.
Rainaud, who hails from South Hadley, Mass., was a three-time All-Conference selection for South Hadley High School.
"We are very pleased to have Adam joining our program next year," said Crabtree. "He comes from a very successful high school program that is used to winning. Adam has established himself as one of the premier players in the Northeast over this past year. He has a great attitude for the game and with his work ethic should develop into a very fine collegiate player."
An honor student at South Hadley, Rainaud won the United States Challenge Cup and the PGA Junior Tourney of Champions this year.
In 2002, Rainaud won the Jim Regan Classic for the second time, and also took home top honors at the Hickory Ridge Open and Westfield PGA Section. He was also a runner-up at the State High School Championships.
