Louisville, Ky. - Jenny Calkins has signed a national letter-of-intent to continue her golf career at the University of Louisville next season. Calkins, a senior at Greenville High School in Michigan, recorded a stroke average of 78.3 this summer.
"We are happy to have Jenny at Louisville," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "She is a very talented player and could make an immediate impact her freshman year. Her hard work and consistency off the tee will help her to contribute to the Louisville lineup early in her career."
Calkins has been an all-state selection since her freshman season and was on the all-state super team her junior year. She was the conference champion her sophomore and junior seasons and earned all-conference honors for three consecutive seasons. She was named the Power Built Player of the Year in the summer of 2001.
