
Women's Golf Stands in 16th After First Round

Greenville, S.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team currently stands in 16th place after shooting a 337 Friday afternoon in the first round of the Lady Paladin Invitational. Freshman Katie Tewell had to withdraw from first round play and is doubtful for a return in the second round. The University of Georgia and Tulsa are tied for first with a score of 291 and LSU is in third with a first round score of 304.
Junior Meghan Little led the Cardinals, shooting a 76 in the first round and is tied for 22nd. Tulsa's Julie Tvede leads the field with a score of 71. Freshman Cristina Gonzalez shot an 82 and is tied for 58th. Amy Yeates is tied for 80th with a score of 89 and Jaime Bentley is tied for 83rd with a score of 90.
The Cards will continue play on Saturday afternoon.
