
Freshman Forward/Center Brandon Bender Leaves Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Freshman forward/center Brandon Bender has left the University of Louisville basketball team and will be given his full release to attend the college of his choice.
"I fully agree with Brandon's decision that it would be in his best interest to pursue other opportunities," said U of L Men's Basketball Coach Rick Pitino. "We wish Brandon nothing but the best."
Bender appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals this season, averaging 3.7 points and 3.9 rebounds. His best game came against Ohio State when he totalled 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
