
Cards' Pitino a Member of NBA Draft Announce Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino will serve as an analyst for Turner Sports' coverage of the NBA Draft on June 27.
The program will air on TNT live from Madison Square Garden in New York beginning with a 30-minute preview show at 7 p.m. EST. The draft is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Turner Sports' Ernie Johnson Jr. will host the first round of draft along with TNT analysts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. Ron Burke will host the second round. Pitino and Hubie Brown will provide additional analysis while TNT's Craig Sager and Peter Vecsey will be on-site to conduct post-selection interviews.
In addition to on-site coverage, TNT reporters will be placed at "draft headquarters" of NBA teams throughout the league: Mike Fratello in Boston, Cheryl Miller in Oakland, Calif.,, Dei Lynam in Houston, John Thompson in Washington, D.C., Bob Lorenz in Atlanta, Lute Olson in Tucson, Ariz.
Pitino served as an analyst for CBS' first and second round coverage of the 2001 NCAA Basketball Tournament. He teamed with Tim Brando to announce the initial two rounds of the NCAA Midwest Regional games in Dayton, Ohio.
