Track Finishes Up Outdoor Season Before Championship

Indianapolis, Ind. - University of Louisville sophomore sprinter Alanna Mestelle captured the 100 meter title at the Woodland Mortgage INUSATF Championships at Butler University. Mestelle won the event with a time of 12.23.
Kelly Faber finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a season best time of 14.81. Carrie Besser also finished with a season best time of 1:08.04 in the 400 meter hurdles. Junior Shola Kadiri finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 45'05.75.
On the men's side, Cary Owsley put in a season best performance in the 200 meter dash. Owsley finished 11th with a time of 22.48.
Junior thrower John Wawyrsh recorded his best season performance in the shot put. Wawyrsh finished 13th with a throw of 46'05.50. Wawyrsh finished third in the discus with a throw of 161'06.00.
