LOUISVILLE, Ky. - More than 1,500 Louisville Cardinals fans turned out to get the 2000 season started at the annual Kickoff Luncheon held at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Head coach John L. Smith and the Cardinals seniors addressed the crowd just eight days away from their season opener with in-state rival Kentucky.
