Cardinal Men's Golf Welcomes Transfer

LOUISVILLE, KY -- University of Louisville head men's golf coach Mark Crabtree announced former Coastal Carolina standout Dean Halterman has joined his team for the 2000 fall semester. Halterman will be eligible for competition immediately and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
"I am excited to have Dean join our program," said Crabtree who enters his second season at U of L. "He is a nice addition and brings collegiate experience to our squad."
Halterman joins a Cardinal squad that finished fourth at the Conference USA Championships in 1999.
While at Coastal Carolina, the Ocean, N.J. native competed in 13 events over two seasons and captured medalist honors at the 1999 Greensboro Invitational as a freshman.
As a rookie, he posted four top 10 finishes for Coastal Carolina and was third on the team with a 72.8 stroke average.
U of L opens the 2000-01 golf season on Sept. 18-19 travelling to the University of Minnesota Invitational in Minneapolis.
