LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville wide receiver Arnold Jackson has been named a preseason second-team All-American by Street & Smith College Football 2000.
Jackson, who returns to the Cardinal lineup after catching 101 passes a season ago, is joined at wide receiver by Alabama's Freddie Milons on the S&S second team. The duo of Latef Grim (Pittsburgh) and Kelly Campbell (Georgia Tech) were named to the first team.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Jackson enters his senior season with 236 career receptions, 63 away from breaking the NCAA Division I-A all-time record for catches held by former Nevada wideout Trevor Insley.
One of four team captains for the 2000 campaign, Jackson already stands as U of L's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. The 5-8 speedster also begins his final collegiate season as the nation's top returnee in career receptions, yards and touchdowns.
Street and Smith's College Football 2000 will be on newsstands beginning July 1
