Men's Golf Tied for 13th at Xavier Invitational

MASON, OH -- The University of Louisville men's golf team finished 36 holes of the Xavier Invitational tied for 13th place overall with Marshall University after shooting 603 (+35) Monday afternoon.
Junior college transfer Greg Garcia topped the Cardinals on Day One of the 54-hole event by shooting an eight-over-par score of 150.
Male High School graduate Chris Campbell and junior Geoff Nuwash are one stroke behind Garcia tied for 50th place with a 36-hole total of 151.
U of L remains within striking distance of the top 10 in the 20-team event being held at the Golf Center at Kings Island. The Cards are just 10 shots behind 10th-place and host institutional Xavier heading into Tuesday's final round.
