LOUISVILLE, KY -- Following their 35-32 come-from-behind win over Tulane last Saturday, the Louisville Cardinals pack their bags for the first time since Oct. 7 and travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. with a 6-2 overall record (3-1 in Conference USA.)
Awaiting U of L's arrival are the No. 11 Southern Miss Golden Eagles who enter the contest with a 6-1 record and an undefeated 3-0 mark in C-USA play.
USM owns a five-game winning streak against U of L including a 30-27 thriller a season ago to close out the `99 campaign. The victory denied U of L its first-ever C-USA championship and sent the Golden Eagles to the Liberty Bowl as the league titleholder.
