U of L to Recognize '91 Fiesta Bowl Team Saturday

LOUISVILLE, KY -- The University of Louisville will acknowledge the 10-year anniversary of its 34-7 Fiesta Bowl victory over Alabama this Saturday as the Cardinals play host to Conference USA opponent Tulane at 2:00 p.m. ET.
More than 30 team members are expected to be on hand as U of L tries to run its 2000 record to 6-2 with a victory over the Green Wave.
The honorees from the offensive side of the football are expected to include quarterback Browning Nagle, running back Ralph Dawkins and wide receiver Anthony Cummings.
Defensive standouts such as linebacker Pat Fitzgerald, cornerback William Blackford and safety Ricky McFadden are expected to be in attendance as are specialists Klaus Wilmsmeyer and Ron Bell.
The '91 Fiesta Bowl squad will be introduced to the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium crowd between the third and fourth quarters.
The 1990 Louisville Cardinals, under the direction of head coach Howard Schnellenberger, posted a 9-1-1 regular season mark including a perfect 6-0 mark in Cardinal Stadium.
U of L's trip to Tempe marked the program's second New Year's Day bowl appearance and first since a 1958 win at the Sun Bowl over Drake.
