
Volleyball Beats DePaul 3-1

Chicago, IL - CHICAGO, Ill. -- Bing Sun had 18 kills to lead the University of Louisville to a 3-1 win over DePaul In Conference USA Volleyball action last night.
The Cardinals, 8-6 won 15-4, 15-4, 7-15, 15-9. They improve their record to 2-3 in the league.
The Cardinals wasted no time in the first game in grabbing the momentum, powering to a 8-1 lead and then outscored the Blue Demons 7-1 down the stretch. The Cardinals hit .244 to DePaul's .000. Anastasia Zaitseva hit seven kills on ten attacks to help the cause.
After Louisville inched out to a 5-3 lead in the second game and then outscored them 10-1 to win. Again the Cardinals were aided by a hot hand with a .368 hitting percentage. Bing Sun had seven kills with no errors on 11 attacks.
Louisville allowed DePaul to jump to a 10-3 lead in the third game and got outhit .255 to .404. DePaul's freshman middle blocker Katie Engel had six kills to led the Blue Demon offense.
The Cardinals suffered a short-lived lapse in the fourth game, getting down 5-1, but then reeled off seven straight points to go up 8-5. Stephanie Bishop had a kill and a block for points to bring the Blue Demons to within one at 8-7. DePaul could just score twice more.
