Ted Schulz was hired as the Director of Special Events at the University of Louisville.
Schulz played the PGA TOUR from 1987-2000. He served as Director of Golf Instruction for nine years at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky. (2000-2009). Ted also served as the University of Louisville Volunteer men’s golf coach for over 10 years. Â
Before turning pro, Schulz graduated from Louisville, where he is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. He played in two U.S. Amateurs, where he won medalist honors twice in local qualifying. Ted won the 1983 Kentucky State Amateur and the 1984 and 1988 Kentucky State Opens.
Over the course of his career, Schulz has four PGA TOUR wins to his credit. His wins include the 1991 Los Angeles Open, the 1989 Southern Open, the 1989 Chrysler Team Championship, and the 2010 First Tee Open at Pebble Beach on the Champions Tour, where he played from 2010 to 2015.Â
