2008-09: Athletic Director's Honor Roll ... BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... Spent the spring racing season in the Cardinals' second varsity eight boat ... Key contributor to Louisville's 2V8+ win at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, as well as second-place finishes at the BIG EAST Championships and Dale England Cup ... Also rowed for the 2V8+ crew in a sixth-place finish in the petite final at the NCAA Regionals as well as races against Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin.
2007-08: Dean's List ... Red & Black Scholar ... Closed the spring in the Cards' second varsity four boat which finished second in the "C" final at the NCAA Regional ... Was in the Cards' varsity four boat that finished fourth at the BIG EAST Championships ... Was also in the Cards' varsity four boat against Michigan and Michigan State ... Rowed in Louisville's second varsity eight boat which earned a win in the petite final at the San Diego Crew Classic ... Also rowed in the Cards' 2V8+ boat against Tennessee and was in the V4+ boat against Indiana in the spring opener in Bloomington.
2006-07: Opened collegiate rowing career on the Cardinals' novice team and gained valuable experience to earn a position on the Cards' varsity roster for 2007-08.
Prior to UofL: Lettered in four sports at Lexington Catholic High School, including four years in track and field, three years in golf, two years in basketball and one year in swimming ... Was a post player for two seasons for Lexington Catholic.
Personal: Born Katherine Scordo on March 20, 1988 in Silver Spring, Md. ... Daughter of Cari and Dom Scordo ... Majoring in marketing at U of L ... Post-college ambition is to earn an MBA ... Hobbies and outside interests include watching TV and goofing off with her friends and teammates ... Chose the University of Louisville because it was close to home and affordable ... Says the best thing about the city of Louisville is there's always something to do ... Believes the best thing about U of L rowing is being part of an amazing team of extremely talented athletes ...
