Louisville Opens Fall Season at Music City Head Race

Cards take 13 boats to Nashville for their only fall regatta
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville rowing team will open the 2025-26 season at the Music City Head Race on Saturday. The ninth annual regatta will take place on the Cumberland River in Nashville, Tenn. The Race is UofL's only competition this fall.
The Cardinals intend to field 13 boats during the day, starting with four boats in the Women's Open V8 at 10:50 a.m. ET.
UofL will continue its day with six boats in the Women's Collegiate 4+ race at 3:20 p.m. followed by one boat in the Women's Open 2x at 3:55 p.m. The Cards will finish their day on the water with two boats in the Women's Collegiate Novice 4+ at 5:10 p.m.

At the 2024 Music City Head Race, the Cardinals raced a total of 11 boats with two first-place finishes among eight top-three showings on the day.
