2023-24: At the Alabama Head of the Black Warrior River, coxswain of the V4 boat that finished first with a time of 18:27.6 in the 16-boat field which also included Miami and Alabama… At the Rivanna Romp, coxed the V8 boat that turned in a time of 13:44.9 for an eighth place finish, coxswain of the V4 boat that finished 18th with a time of 15:37.4… - At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational- Coxswain of the V8 boat that finished third in the morning session (6:40.480) and second in the evening session (6:36.331); on Sunday at ORCI, guided V8 boat to a first place showing with a time of 6:38.632… At the Sunshine State Invitational, Coxswain of the V8 boat that finished fourth with a time of 7:19.56, guided V8 boat to a first place finish in the petite final with a time of 6:41.56… At the SIRA Championship, coxswain of the V8 Semifinal boat that finished first with a time of 6:39.977 in the semifinal and won the ‘A’ final, clocking in at 6:38.351… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, coxed the V8 boat that placed fourth in its heat the morning session with a time of 6:56.079 and again in afternoon session (7:10.377); on Saturday at Lake Wheeler, coxed the V8 boat that placed first in its heat with a time of 6:48.945… At the ACC Rowing Championship, coxswain of the V8 boat which finished third in the petite finals with a time of 6:35.638… Named to ACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll
2022-23: At Rivanna Romp, Izzy coxed the 2V8 boat that turned in a time of 13:57.5 to finish in 12th in the 20-boat field. She also coxed the 4V4 boat that came in at 15:24.2 for 16th in the 28-boat field at Rivanna. In the morning session of the ORCI, Hussey coxed the 2V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:44.590. In the afternoon session of the ORCI, she coxed the 2V8 boat that finished third, turning in a 6:56.908. In the Sunday session of the ORCI, she coxed the 2V8 boat that finished fourth, just two seconds out of third. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she coxed the 2V8 boat to a third-place finish with a time of 6:55.46. In the grand final of the 2V8 race, she coxed the Cardinals to a seventh-place finish with a time of 6:44.80. In the head-to-head regatta against Michigan, she was aboard the 2V8 boat that finished third in 6:55.94. In the prelims of the ACC Championship in Raleigh, she coxed the 2V8 boat to a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:52.035 to advance to the petite final. She coxed the 2V8 boat to a victory in the petite final at the ACC Championships, going 6:59.787. She was named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team.
2021-22: Izzy was the coxswain in the V4 boat that finished with a time of 15:34.43 and also in the 2V4 that stopped the clock at 16:23.3 at the Rivanna Romp. She coxed the V8 boat to a time of 6:18.979 on Day 1 of the ORCI. On Day 2 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, she coxed the 2V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:47.026. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she helmed the 2V4 boat that finished sixth in the grand final with a time of 7:49.30. At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, she helped the 2V8 boat to a second place finish with a time of 6:50.592. In the head-to-head competition with Michigan, she was on the V4 boat that posted a time of 7:47.45. At the ACC Championships held at Clemson in 2022, she was on the V4 boat that finished fifth in the grand final with a time of 7:25.809.
2020-21: In the COVID-shortened season, Izzy was the coxswain in the V4 boat in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, the cox for the V4 boat versus Notre Dame, and the V4 cox versus Michigan/Iowa. She helmed the V4 boat at ACCs which finished sixth in the Grand Final. An excellent student, she was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, was Red & Black Scholar, and a member of the Fall 2020 Dean's List.
Prep: Rowed for Saratoga Rowing Association. Prior to coxing, she rowed for six years and placed many times at Head of the Fish, New York State Championships and Head of the Housatonic. She attended Head of the Charles twice as a coxswain, and placed in the top three every time at Head of the Fish. She coxed both women's and men's rowing. She coxed the Women's 2V 8+ , Youth 4+, the Men's lightweight 8+, and Varsity 8+.
