2010-11: Started the spring in the novice eight boat against #16 Tennessee, Ohio State and Indiana ... Followed that by moving into the third varsity eight boat for a win over Boston University at the Charles Challenge ... Finished second in the varsity four boat at the BIG EAST Championship ... Closed the spring with a sixth-place finish at the Oak Ridge Invitational in the second varsity four boat.
Prior to UofL: Rowed for St. Ursula Academy crew for three years ... Received several awards including Fastest Novice 2k time, Leadership Award, and Positive Attitude Award ... JV8 National Champion in 2009 ... Placed first in the Midwest Championships in 2009 ... Placed second in the Midwest Championships in 2010 ... Team placed first at nationals in 2006 and 2009 ... Placed 21st and 23rd at Head of the Charles.
Personal: Born on Oct. 14, 1991, in Toledo, Ohio ... Daughter of Katherine and Paul Kortier ... Has one sister, Anna ... Majoring in exercise science at U of L ... Post-college ambition is to go to graduate school to become a physician assistant ...
