2017: Van Dyke spent one year at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois, and will be a sophomore in 2018 with three years left to play. She will be immediately eligible for the Cardinals. season as a true freshman with the Fighting Illini, Van Dyke appeared in nine sets and logged five kills, one dig and one block.
Prep: Van Dyke who signed with Illinois as a highly touted prospect, was ranked as the No.66-ranked recruit in the country by PrepVolleyball after a star turn at Munster High School. At Munster, she was Named to VolleyballMag.com/Triple Crown Sports Girls Fab 50 list and was included on the PrepVolleyball’s Top 50 juniors list. She helped lead her Sports Performance Club team to the 2016 AAU 18 Open National Championship as well as the 2016 AAU 18 Open International Championship. She was a two-time MaxPreps Player of the Match as a senior and earned Northwest Crossroads Conference First-Team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and Second-Team accolades as a junior. She helped lead her Munster High School team to IHSAA Sectional Championships in both 2014 and 2016 and was named to the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA) Academic All-State Team. She is a three-time MHS Scholar-Athlete and Letterwinner and a two-time winner of the MHS Ironman Award. The 2016 MHS Scholarship Award selection, she also helped lead her Sports Performance club team to the 2014 Asics Junior National Championship and the 2014 Mideast Qualifier Championship (American Division). She also earned a spot on the 2014 USA Volleyball High Performance Continental Team and was named a Windy City Power League All-Star as a freshman.
