2008: Lecia spent the summer as a member of the Jamaican National Volleyball Team in the FIVB World Championship qualifier. Lecia earned All-BIG EAST First Team Honors and All-BIG EAST Tournament. She ended the season ranked No. 11 in the nation in blocks with an average of 1.43 blocks per set. She was named to the All-Flyer Classic in Dayton. She had five or more blocks in 15 matches with a season high 10 versus Wake Forest and Seton Hall. Against Dayton, she had 15 kills, hit .583 and had 13 kills and hit .462 against Purdue in the first round of the NCAA. She had a season high 21.5 points against Dayton. Last spring, she became the Volleyball Cardinals second two-sport athlete as she ran track for the Cardinals. She posted top five times in the 200m, the 400m, the 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay.

2007: (Pronounced LEE-cee-uh) Lecia was the nation's leading blocker in 2007 and was named NCAA Statistical Champion. She averaged 2.07 per game. She tied a school record with 12 block assists against Duke and had three solos against Cincinnati. She was a member of the All-BIG EAST First Team. She set a single season record with 198 block assists. Her 221 total blocks in 2007, was the second most all-time in a single season. In the BIG EAST Tournament, she had five kills, hit .571 and had five blocks against Syracuse. She had one kill and seven blocks against NDU. She had six kills and eight blocks against St. John's in the championship. She set a career-high against Middle Tennessee in the NCAA with 17 kills. Even behind on experience, Lecia has managed to use her leaping ability to patrol the net and became the BIG EAST's leading blocker at 2.45 per game in conference-only stats. She can also be an offensive threat as witnessed by her 13 kills against Duke and 17 against Middle Tennessee.

2006: Lecia led the team in blocks per game with an 1.46. She had a career-high 11 kills against No. 18-ranked Ohio and 11 kills against Notre Dame in the BIG EAST Tournament Championship. Brown hit .455 with six kills on 11 attacks against Middle Tennessee in the NCAAs and had 10 kills against UConn in the BIG EAST Quarterfinal. Her best match of the regular season came against DePaul when she had 9 kills and 9 block. With a total of 112 kills ,she had a .347 hitting percentage overall and hit .301 in conference play. In 2006, she had 115 blocks, second on the team. High School: Lecia played for Suncoast High School for Coach Will Olds, where she helped lead her team to a conference championship, a district championship, a regional championship and the State Semi-Finals. She was named Second Team All-State by the Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel. She was a Channel 12 Athlete of the Week. She chose the University of Louisville because it fit her academic interests as well as her future in sports. Her post-graduate aim is to become a physician. Brown was an outstanding student at Suncoast where she is a National Merit Commended Scholar, a Science Pathfinder Nominee and was National Society of High School Scholars. She has already completed a National Institute of Health internship and received a Physician Scientist Training Program Scholarship. Her academic awards also include being a International Science Fair Finalist, State Science Fair Finalist and winning the Naval Science Award. Yale named her the Most Outstanding 11th grade exhibitor among other academic honors. Brown is an outstanding track athlete and was Florida State Champion in the 400-meter, the 100-meter and the 4x400-meter relay team. She was the regional champion in the 100-meter, 400-meter and 4x400-meter relay team and district, conference and county champs in those same events. She was named Track Athlete of the Week by the Sun-Sentinel.
