Julie Ditty is in her first year as the assistant coach for women’s tennis and brings a wealth of experience at all levels to the Cardinals staff.
She was a three-time state high school singles champion, and 3-time all American at Vanderbilt. After she left Vandy, she competed for 10 years on the Sony Ericsson Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) pro tour, and played in all four grand slam tournaments all four Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open) Her highest world ranking in singles was No. 89 and No. 65 in doubles.
She holds the record for the most singles and doubles titles on the United States Tennis Association (UTSA) pro circuit with 32 victories, and competed on the 2009 United States’ Federation Cup team.
She was inducted into the Kentucky Tennis Association Hall of Fame in 2008, and entered the Vanderbilt Athletic Hall of Fame on Sept. 5, 2009. She was also inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013, and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame Class of 2013.
She currently serves as Athlete Advisory Council Rep to the United States Olympic Committee (2017-2021).
